The Art of Japanese Ikebana

Welcome to the official website of Ryosho Morioka, teacher of ikebana active in Florence who practices this ancient Japanese art since 1977, combining the respect of traditions and rules with a continue research for new forms of expression capable of conveying the ideals of harmony and beauty that inspire the art of ikebana.

In these pages you will find examples of some ikebana flower arrangements she made ​​over the years for the decoration of shops, hotels and restaurants and at cultural events in Florence and other Italian cities.

Ryosho Morioka regularly helds lessons of ikebana in Florence in collaboration with the Association of Japanese Culture IROHA of which she is among the founding members. In 1984 she graduated Master of first level (the highest) of the Sogetsu school of ikebana and is enrolled in Sogetsu Teachers Association.
